Home for the Holidays – Guided Cave Tours
Why not combine a refreshing walk outdoors at one of our local sites like Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail (Stairway to Heaven) with a visit to the Marble Arch Caves. This year we are opening our doors for Guided Cave Tours on Thursday 28th, Friday 29th and Saturday 30th December. What better way to entertain family and friends than a trip to one of County Fermanagh’s most spectacular attractions.
Deck you Door with a Fabulous Handmade Wreath
Have you ever saw a beautiful Christmas Wreath and wished you could have a go at making one yourself? This year we invite visitors to come along and get into the Christmas Spirit as we are joined by Ranger Kate and Assistant Operations Officer Claire who are running a special wreath making activity.
First you will set of on a short Christmas walk through Cladagh Glen Nature Reserve where you will learn about the history of the woodland and the wonderful variety of plants and trees which live there. Upon returning to the warmth of the Marble Arch Caves Visitor Centre you will be guided to a station where you will find the sustainably-sourced materials required to make your very own native wreath. Other Christmas decoration options are available.
Our crafty colleague Claire will also be on hand to provide some useful tips and advice to help you transform the raw materials into a stunning Christmas display. Bring anything dear to you which you would like to incorporate into your work, such as ribbons, beads, lights, silk flowers etc.

Christmas Elf Escape Takeover
A bunch of little elves have escaped from Santa’s Grotto deep within the Marble Arch Caves. There have been reports of elf activity in the local woodland close to the caves and Santa has asked for your help to track them down, to count them and to decide which elves are being ‘good’ and which are being ‘bad’. Come join the fun and adventure as Cladagh Glen is taken over by lots of little mischievous elves at play! This year they’ve even taken over our Visitor Centre!
An epic adventure invites you to explore a trail of elves who have gotten themselves in a world of funny scenarios and predicaments in the woodland. You’ll never guess what they have been up to this year!
Keep your eyes peeled on your winter walk. Santa is depending on you to find all of his elves and to complete an Elf Report Card to decide which elves to put on the naughty list this year! A BRAND NEW bonus activity 
awaits our eager adventures as we challenge families to count ALL the elves they find. Who knows how many could be hiding in plain sight.
Come dressed in your festive jumpers or Elf costumes, but do make sure to wrap up warm. This event offers activities both outside and inside.

* Elf Escape Takeover – Sensory Space *
This Christmas we are absolutely delighted to offer a brand new addition to to our Elf Escape Takeover event. Our little elves have completely taken over the visitor centre and even our audio-visual theatre. This room offers the perfect environment for more relaxed enjoyment of our Elf Escape Takeover which has been carefully designed to promote a sense of space, free from outside distractions. With gentle low-lit blue lighting and a variety of sensory stations for children to enjoy, we invite people with access and/or sensory needs to come and join the fun!
This activity offers access to a self-guided mini-trail within our sensory space for up to 8 people. This will give you plenty of time to enjoy the Elf celebrations in a quieter area and to take your time looking at and interacting with the Elf activities. Visitors are then free to explore the rest of the other Elf Escape Takeover tasks at their leisure.
Children can enjoy receiving an Elf Escape booklet and a **Bonus Activity** worksheet which will give them clues to the whereabout of hidden elves. If you would like this in large print, or adapted in anyway, please let us know in advance.
