Wild Woods and Waters Trail

Escape the Everyday – Discover Cladagh Glen Nature Reserve

Reconnect with nature on a guided walk through the breathtaking Cladagh Glen Nature Reserve. Hidden in the landscape above the Marble Arch Caves, this peaceful trail leads you through a narrow, steep-sided limestone gorge, thickly cloaked in one of Ireland’s last remaining ancient ash woodlands. Follow the river as it flows past tumbling waterfalls, moss-covered rocks, and wildflowers that change with the seasons.

Led by local guides passionate about showcasing all the area has to offer, this experience is perfect for those wishing to experience the sights, sounds and fresh woodland air in this wilder place.

This linear walk passes the famous Marble Arch – the largest cave exit in Ireland and the UK – where the underground river rises to the surface once more. Along the way, discover the story of the land beneath your feet and the vibrant wildlife that calls this secluded glen home.
