Timeless Tastes – Marble Arch Caves and Boatyard Distillery Collaboration
Visitors to Fermanagh can now experience the very best of its natural beauty and artisan craftsmanship through Timeless Tastes – The Fermanagh Experience, a new collaboration between Marble Arch Caves and The Boatyard Distillery.
This immersive journey begins deep beneath the surface, where guests explore the awe-inspiring limestone passages of the Marble Arch Caves, a landscape shaped over millennia. From there, the experience continues above ground as visitors set off to the shores of Lough Erne to The Boatyard Distillery, home to one of the world’s most celebrated premium gin brands.
Founded in 2016 by Fermanagh native and master distiller Joe McGirr, The Boatyard Distillery has grown from a bold local vision into an internationally recognised spirit’s brand. Its flagship Boatyard Double Gin is now poured in many of the world’s leading cocktail bars, earning global accolades including four consecutive listings in the prestigious Drinks International Brands Report, where its Double Gin and vodka is ranked among the world’s Top 10 bestselling and top trending spirits.
In 2025, the distillery significantly expanded its global footprint through a major US partnership with Banfi Vintners, accelerating growth across key American states and further positioning Boatyard as a leading premium Irish gin brand worldwide.
Despite its international success, The Boatyard Distillery remains proudly rooted in Fermanagh, regularly bringing international visitors to explore its beautiful landscape. Arriving by car or by boat, visitors to the distillery enjoy a 90-minute guided tour, complete with tastings, three handcrafted cocktails and the opportunity to personalise and label their own 70cl bottle to take home, an experience that consistently ranks among Northern Ireland’s top attractions.
