Join us as local Harmonise Choir fill the chambers and passageways with the timeless beauty of Christmas carols. This unique underground performance combines the joy of music with the enchantment of the caves’ natural acoustics, creating an atmosphere unlike any other.
What to Expect
Your evening begins in our Visitor Centre, where you’ll be greeted with the festive sound of carols and holiday cheer. You’ll then meet your guide, who will lead you on a journey underground lasting approximately 1 hour.
Along the way, you’ll pause in several breathtaking chambers to enjoy the beautiful harmonies of Harmonise Choir, a dynamic mixed-voice ensemble known for their expressive performances and rich, captivating sound. The talented members of Harmonise Choir are set to create a truly moving Christmas experience.
After emerging from the caves, return to the warmth of the Visitor Centre, where you’ll be treated to a festive drink and mince pie Take a moment to browse our gift shop and enjoy a 20% discount on giftshop purchases (excluding sale items), the perfect opportunity for Christmas shopping!
What to Bring
The temperature underground remains a cool 10°C, so we recommend wearing flat, sturdy footwear and dressing in warm layers — a fleece, gloves, hat, and coat will keep you comfortable. Your cave journey involves light walking with several stops to listen to the music, so it’s the perfect occasion to don your favourite Christmas jumper and join us in the festive spirit!
Harmonise Choir
Founded in 2011 at St. Dympna’s Church, Harmonise has grown from a small summer choir into a vibrant vocal group with a diverse repertoire. Known for their performances at festivals, charity events, weddings, and the Strule Arts Centre, they’ve garnered a reputation for delivering polished and dynamic productions.
With an open-minded and enthusiastic approach, the choir welcomes all singers, from first-time performers to those rediscovering their passion for music. Rehearsals are filled with camaraderie, laughter, and a shared commitment to making every performance the best it can be. Harmonise proves that there’s a place for everyone who loves to sing.
