Marble Arch Caves Hosts Association of British and Irish Showcaves Conference 2025
This week, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the Association of British and Irish Showcaves (ABIS) to the Marble Arch Caves for their annual conference. As a collective of show caves from across the UK and Ireland, ABIS provides an invaluable opportunity for cave professionals to connect, share insights, and explore the latest in conservation, sustainability, and show cave management. And what better place to do it than within the stunning landscapes of the Marble Arch Caves located in the heart of the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark.
From underground adventures to above-ground delights, we made sure our guests got the full Fermanagh experience! Alongside exploring our cave system and hearing about our latest projects and news, the group took in the rich history of Enniskillen Castle, savoured local craft spirits at The Boatyard Distillery, and enjoyed the tranquillity of Erne Water Taxi gliding across Lough Erne.
Hosting ABIS was not just about showcasing what we do, but also about learning from others, strengthening connections, and celebrating the shared passion we all have for the underground world.
