Crazy About Caves Outreach Programme
This month, the Marble Arch Caves Education team had the pleasure of delivering our Crazy About Caves outreach programme to the enthusiastic pupils of Scoil Mhic Diarmada in Kiltyclogher. The workshop was an exciting opportunity to bring the wonders of the underground world to life for young learners, and we were thrilled to see their curiosity sparked.
The workshop was filled with hands-on activities that engaged the students’ imaginations, from exploring cave formations to understanding the science behind these natural wonders. A highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the Virtual Reality (VR) Cave Explorer experience, which allowed the pupils to venture into the depths of the caves without leaving their classroom.
The positive feedback from the school truly warmed our hearts. “Excellent workshop! The pupils really enjoyed the Virtual Reality headset and the hands-on activities,” one teacher remarked. It’s always a delight to see young minds excited about learning, and we are over the moon to have made such an impact.
We look forward to continuing our outreach efforts, inspiring more students to become “Crazy About Caves!”
